MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Roundy's announced Monday it will require all of its 19,000 employees to view an educational video about H1N1 and the seasonal flu.
The campaign, called "Learn. Protect. Decide," seeks to educate employees about the seasonal flu and H1N1 viruses, prevention methods and the vaccinations available.
All Roundy's stores will have brochures available for customers on how to avoid the flu.
The video features Robert Mariano, Roundy's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and Dr. Alan Harris, an infectious disease expert from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
"Because our business requires our employees to consistently engage with customers, everyone who works at Roundy's has a special responsibility to do all we can to take care of ourselves and prevent the spread of viruses," said Mariano. "We also believe we should help our customers protect themselves and their families from seasonal flu and H1N1 by learning more about these viruses."
All Roundy's stores with pharmacies are currently offering the seasonal flu vaccine.
