MADISON (WKOW) -- The number of students coming into University Health Services (UHS) with flu-like symptoms "increased noticeably" on the UW campus for the first time in six weeks.
In week 8 of the fall semester -- October 18 to October 24 -- UHS treated 74 students with flu-like symptoms, representing 6.5 percent of all visits to UHS's primary care clinic.
In comparison, there were only 49 ILI diagnoses for the previous week, representing 4.2 percent of students coming to the primary care clinic.
UHS services are available to all enrolled UW–Madison graduate and undergraduate students.
