MADISON (WKOW) -- Police are looking for two people accused of robbing a woman after she left Mickey’s Tavern.
Police say they responded to the Tavern on Saturday night around 8:50 p.m. A woman told officers she was inside the bar when another woman asked if she would walk her to her car because she was afraid her ex-boyfriend might be in the area.
Police say as the two women were walking in the 400 block of S. Thornton Avenue when a man rushed the victim, knocked her to the ground and grabbed her wallet. According to the police report, both the man and the woman being escorted to her car fled the scene together.
A bar patron told police that the robber and the woman were together inside the tavern before the robbery.
The male suspect is described as a black man in his 40’s between 6’ and 6’2”. He was unshaven with a possible mustache. He was last seen wearing a dark green jacket with a black t-shirt underneath, and blue jeans.
The female suspect is described as a medium build white woman between 5’4” and 5’6”. She has blonde hair and was last seen wearing a pink or red t-shirt.
