Body of Fort Hood victim Seager to arrive in Wis.

Russell Seager, 51 Russell Seager, 51

WONEWOC (WKOW) -- The body of Army Reserve Captain Russell Seager will arrive in Wisconsin Saturday morning, nine days after the deadly attack at Fort Hood, Texas.

A public affairs spokesperson for Volk Field said Seager's body is scheduled to arrive around 9 a.m. Saturday morning.  Greg Cullen said from there, a procession, led by a hearse, will travel to Thompson Funeral Home in Wonewoc.

Cullen and the funeral home's director said visitation will take place from 1-3 p.m. at Wonewoc Center School, with the funeral service planned for 3 p.m.   Seager will be buried at Pine Eden Cemetery afterward.

While Seager had most often been listed as from Racine in numerous reports, his uncle tells 27 News that Russell Seager's mother was buried in Wonewoc.  With the family's roots in that part of Wisconsin, it made sense to bury him there.

On Friday, friends and family said goodbye to Staff Sgt. Amy Krueger.  Funeral services for the 29-year-old will take place Saturday in the Kiel High School gymnasium.

Seager and Krueger were among the 13 people killed in the November 5 shooting.

Investigators said Major Nidal Hasan fired more than 100 bullets in a processing center at Fort Hood before police shot him in the torso.  Hasan's attorney on Friday said it appears his client will be paralyzed below the waste.
