Middleton high school grads honored for philanthropy
MIDDLETON (WKOW) -- Some recent Middleton graduates were honored today for their generosity.
Last year's seniors donated their entire class fund $11,000 to M.O.M., Middleton Outreach Ministry.
The donation continued to grow resulting in more than $40,000 for the non-profit.
Friday the class of 2009 was honored for its philanthropy.
"We sat back and said let's think about this, we have a lot of money, this is what normal classes did with it, what can we don that is different. So we looked out to the community and saw a cause and decided to go for it," says 2009 Middleton grad Steve Ticknor
The students were awarded the outstanding young philanthropist award from the greater Madison chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
