MADISON (WKOW) -- Students in a UW-Madison fraternity are biking from Madison to Northwestern University, where the Badgers will take on the Wildcats Saturday.
The nine riders from Sigma Phi Epsilon are taking with them a football signed by Badger football head coach Bret Bielema on the 150 mile trip to Evanston, Illinois.
For the 16th year, they will be pedaling to raise money for American Family Children's hospitals, which the hospital uses to provide games and activities for patients and their families.
"It was a really rewarding experience," said Sigma Phi Epsilon member Greg Brostrom, "the kind of put a capstone on our fundraising make it seem real to us and show out determination to the event to the rest of the community."
The members are earning donations by going door to door and online with a goal of $12,500.
