MADISON (WKOW) -- Federal authorities found a man wanted for his alleged involvement in a massive cocaine ring, after he was already in prison for a separate drug crime.
Martin Pineda Pineda was charged in 2008 with conspiracy to deliver cocaine and distributing the drug as part of an alleged ring in Watertown.
Prosecutors say Pineda Pineda fled to Florida and took on the name Magin Avila-Avellaneda. He was arrested in February for a different conspiracy to deal methamphetamine.
A Tampa judge found the man guilty and sentenced him to 70 months in federal prison. He began his term in September, and it wasn't until then that U.S. marshals processed him and identified his fingerprints as matching Pineda Pineda's.
