ELM GROVE (WKOW) -- The Dane County Sheriff's Office teamed up with authorities in Waukesha County Monday to make in arrest in an armed burglary case.
Monday morning, the Dane County Sheriff's Office received from a witness who saw someone taking firearms from a home in the Town of Dunn, and took down the suspects' car description and license plate number.
The car turned out to be registered to a residence across the state, in Elm Grove.
Dane County authorities contacted police in Elm Grove who, during surveillance of the home, saw the vehicle in question arrive and saw three people transferring items inside.
Officials established a perimeter and took two suspects into custody, one of whom has since been released.
After trying to make phone contact with two other suspects inside, the phone line disconnected and they tried to make a run for it, but Elm Grove Police arrested them.
Alexander Dejesus, 34 of Elm Grove and Tracy L. Leisen, 38 of Madison, are being held at the Dane County Jail. The third suspect, 39-year-old Miguel A. Oquendo, is being held at a hospital to be treated for a medical issue before he can be booked into the jail.
All face tentative charges of armed burglary and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
All the weapons and property taken in the Dane County Armed Burglary have been recovered.
