KANSAS CITY (WKOW) -- A new Secret Santa has appeared in Kansas City, handing out $100 bills to people.
The prior Secret Santa, Larry Stewart, died in 2007 and remained anonymous for most of his career. He gave away about $1.3 million in more than a decade of generosity.
The new Santa is keeping his identity anonymous, as well. That person has already handed out about $14,000 to unsuspecting passersby.
Similar Secret Santas have popped up in Phoenix, Arizona; Charlotte, North Carolina; Detroit, Michigan; Venture, California, and Tulsa, Oklahoma.
