JUNEAU COUNTY (WKOW) -- A $3,000 reward is being offered for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for the burglary of an airplane hangar at the Necedah Airport.
On November 20, the Sheriff's Office received a report of a burglary of a building at the Necedah Airport. The building is used to store equipment being used by the group "Operation Migration," whose mission is to reestablish the Whooping Crane population.
Investigators discovered that several ultra-light plan wings had been damaged. Vehicles and sculptures in the building were also damaged. Several other items were also stolen. Total damages and loss is estimated at more than $30,000.
