MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison Police arrested a man for allegedly robbing a Badger Campus Credit Union Monday afternoon.
Just after 12:00 p.m., a man came into the Badger Campus Credit Union on Spring Street and passed the teller a note demanding money.
He fled on foot, but thanks to some help from eyewitnesses, Madison Police along with UW Police were able to chase him down to a parking lot on South Park Street.
The officers found the stolen money and the robbery note on 45-year-old Michael A. Grober, who was arrested on tentative charges of Robbery.
Madison Police want to thank the quick thinking citizens who helped them in this chase: a student on his way to class, a Badger Campus Credit Union customer, a woman driving her car past the scene and a bicyclist, who all assisted in what MPD calls a "quick and successful dragnet."
