ANNAPOLIS, MD (WKOW) -- Furloughs kept some soon-to-be wed couples from tying the knot on New Years Eve.
The second busiest day for marriages at the Arundel County Circuit Courthouse is usually December 31st, but to reduce a $2 billion budget, no weddings will be performed to save money.
Officials at the courthouse say January 4 will be pretty busy with people who weren't aware of the furloughs.
