Home invasion and robbery at downtown Madison apartment


MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police are searching for two men in connection with an alleged home invasion downtown last week.

On December 30, around 1:00 p.m., the residents of an apartment on the 100 block of North Hancock called police to report a pair of robbers that had entered their home, armed.

The victims, a 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman, told officers two men pushed their way in, one of them armed with a handgun. They said the suspects entered the bedrooms of two other roommates who were not home at the time, and left with a safe and money, an X-box and X-box games.

Both robbers are described as black men between 19 and 23-years-old. One is described at 5'10" with a medium build and a bald or shaved head. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, dark tennis shoes and a teal bandana.

The other is described at 6'0", medium build, wearing dark clothing and a knit cap, with a black bandana over his face.
