ATLANTA (WKOW) -- UPS says it will cut 1,800 management jobs in an effort to streamline its workforce, a move that helped the shipping giant to boost its fourth-quarter earnings forecast.
UPS, the world's largest package delivery company, announced Friday it would offer a voluntary separation package to around 1,100 employees.
The company also announced expectations to increase its previously announced earnings predictions for the fourth quarter of 2009, from 58 to 65 cents per share, to 73 to 75 cents per share.
