MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Milwaukee will hold more H1N1 vaccination clinics this month to address racial disparities in the rate of people hospitalized due to the H1N1 virus.
A recent report claims two to three times more African-Americans and Hispanics were hospitalized in fall 2009 because of the virus than non-Hispanic whites.
The Milwaukee Health Department is planning additional swine flu vaccination clinics throughout the city during the week of Jan. 10, which is also National Influenza Vaccination week.
The vaccine will be available for free at the walk-in clinics.
