GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- Thanks to some "bored" friends with extra time on their hands, Green Bay will soon be home to the world's biggest igloo. Jason Quarters told WFRV-TV he got the idea because it's "Wisconsin, it's wintertime, there's nothing much to do."
He and five friends designed the mammoth ice hut, and are almost finished with the construction.
Quarters says it will be the largest self-supported igloo dome ever -- at 14 feet tall and 27 feet across.
The current record was set in 2008 by a group of engineers and scientists in Canada.
