NEW YORK (WKOW) -- A cab driver in New York city returned over $21,000 lost by one of his customers, who was visiting from Italy.
On Christmas Eve, 72-year-old Felicia Lettieri left her purse filled with traveling money in a Manhattan taxi.
When Lettieri reported it to police, they told her not to get her hopes up on finding it.
The cab driver, Mukul Asaduzzaman, drove 50 miles to a Long Island address he found in the purse, but no one was home. He left his phone number and returned later with the money.
He left her a note saying, "Don't worry, Felicia. I'll keep it safe."
Asaduzzaman refused a reward.
