FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (WKOW) -- The death of two giraffes from Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch has police in a small northern Arizona town suspicious.
The giraffes were purchased by a couple in Page. They planned to build a wildlife preserve on city property they leased in 2008 that also would house exotic birds, reptiles and a camel.
The two giraffes died within the past two months, and necropsy results are pending.
The animal rights group PETA is calling on police to confiscate and relocate two remaining giraffes. A move seems inevitable for the giraffe, after a judge ruled in favor of the city to have the owners preserve the terms of their lease.
