GENEVA (WKOW) -- A Red Cross web site that was set up to help Hatiana find missing loved ones has already seen thousands of visitors.
Red Cross officials say more than 5,000 people signed up in the first few hours after the site was launched. They also say links on social networks like Facebook and Twitter helped spread the word.
Hundreds of those who registered are from Haiti, with most looking for missing family members, but some logged on to say they had survived Tuesday's devastating earthquake.
The Red Cross says a lot of the site's visitors are from the United States and Canada, which have large Haitian communities.
