HAITI (WKOW)--At least 70,000 bodies have now been recovered from the 7.0 earthquake that hit Haiti last week.
Officials now estimate the death toll will be 200,000, with another 1.5 million left homeless.
Officials are struggling with logistics to get food, water and medical supplies to the people who need them.
Late Monday, the U-S government made it easier for Haitian orphans being adopted by Americans to enter the United States.
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said that the humanitarian policy will be applied temporarily, on a case-by-case basis, to orphaned children from Haiti who are being adopted by U.S. citizens or who have been matched to prospective adoptive parents who are U.S. citizens.
