PEWAUKEE (WKOW)-- Pewaukee-based "Friends for Health in Haiti" includes a number of local doctors who for years have worked to ease suffering in that country.
Now that task may seem overwhelming, but the earthquake has made them even more determined.
A modest building serves as a medical clinic in rural Haiti. It survived the quake.
Doctor Katie Wolf helped start the clinic six years ago. She has lived in Haiti and she flew back to Port-au-Prince to help on Monday.
Her colleagues at Saint Joseph's Hospital say they know she will be doing a lot of good for the victims there.
In a recent blog post, Dr. Wolf wrote she's concerned about the conditions she and a nurse from Haiti will be facing. She asks for prayers and financial donations for the victims.
