FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WKOW) -- When people "rock out," they usually do so to up tempo music like hip-hop, rock and roll, or country to name a few.
But police responding to a noise complain cited a Fond du Lac man for "rocking out" to John Denver, a folk musician who usually plays acoustic guitar.
When police responded to the man's apartment last week, Denver could be heard through the door.
After pounding on the door, they were able to get an answer. When asked why he played the music so loud, he said he was "rocking out."
Police say he was fined about $210 for unnecessary loud music.
Denver is known for hits like "Rocky Mountain High" and "Take Me Home, Country Roads."
