CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WKOW) -- Robert Parker, author of the popular "Spenser" novels had died at the age of 77 at his home in Massachusetts.
Cambridge Police say an ambulance was sent to Parker's home Monday morning. The death is considered of "natural causes" and is not considered suspicious.
A publicist with Parker's publisher confirmed he died but would not confirm any other details.
Parker wrote more than 50 novels, including 37 featured the Spenser character, which was also the basis for the 1980s TV series "Spenser: For Hire" starring Robert Urich.
