NEW YORK (WKOW) -- "Tonight Show" host Conan O'Brien has reached a deal with NBC reportedly worth $44 million, allowing his exit from the show and the return of Jay Leno.
The announcement comes seven months after O'Brien took over for Leno, who hosted the iconic program for 17 years.
A network spokesperson confirmed the deal Thursday but would not offer any details.
The Wall Street Journal earlier reported the network will fork over $32 million plus an additional $12 million in severance for O'Brien's staff.
