NEW YORK (WKOW) -- Reclusive "Catcher in the Rye" author J.D. Salinger has died at his home in New Hampshire at the age of 91.
A representative released a statement Thursday, in which Salinger's son confirms the writer died of natural causes.
Salinger lived for decades in isolation in his small, remote home and in the years following his success with 1951's "Rye," about the twisted teenage protagonist Holden Caulfield.
