MINDORO (WKOW) -- A Wisconsin group is responding to the President of Haiti's plea for tents.
"Hearts and Hammers" of Mindoro, Wisconsin is donating 430 tents.
The group is going through each tent and packaging them for easy set-up.
The Haitian government has asked for 200,000 tents to house people left homeless after the quake.
"I didn't think I'd be doing any good to help them except maybe sending money and praying but now it's really hands on," said volunteer Dan Hurley.
The Wisconsin group is collecting tents from Girl Scout camps across Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa.
They'll be shipped out with missionaries out of Minneapolis.
