WAUSAU (WKOW) -- Some Wisconsin students are helping rebuild Haiti one block at a time.
Students at a Wausau Middle School decided to sell paper blocks during lunch this week.
Each block cost a dollar, with all the money raised going to reconstruct buildings in Haiti.
And students competed against two other schools in the Wausau area to see who could raise the most.
"It's so good for the community to see how great middle school students are. They're so giving, so caring not just about their families or school but about what's going on in the world. Thank you, very much," said teacher Patti Gehin.
Haitian students from North Central Technical College stopped by to thank the kids.
