MADISON (WKOW) -- WORT radio held a fundraiser on Saturday to "drum up" support for the Haiti relief efforts.
Starting at noon on Saturday, the radio station broadcasted live from the High Noon Saloon, featuring a number of local bands who performed in an effort to help raise money for Haiti.
WORT set up a phone bank back at the station to take pledges for the event called "Say Hey for Haiti."
"We're trying to raise money for a good cause. People down in Haiti are really hurting. We've all seen the images on TV and heard the reports, and it's just devestating. Benefits like this are going on all over the country, and we're just trying to do our part," said Tag Evers of True Endeavors.
All of the money raised from the event will go directly to a relief organization in Haiti called Partners in Health.
