MADISON (WKOW)-- Trek Bicycle Corporation and three time Tour de France winner Greg LeMond have settled their nearly two-year court battle.
A Trek spokesman tells the Wisconsin State Journal that the deal includes the Waterloo Bicycle Manufacturer paying $200,000 to one of LeMmond's charities.
Trek says a licensing deal from 1995 ended this past Saturday, so now LeMond has the rights to the LeMond Bicycle brand.
Trek stopped making LeMond bikes in April of 2008 - when Trek sued in federal court to end the partnership.
LeMond complained Trek didn't promote his brand.
And, Trek claimed that LeMond's criticism of Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong damaged the company.
