82nd Annual Academy Awards nominees announced


BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (WKOW) -- Sci-fi blockbuster "Avatar" and war-time thriller "The Hurt Locker" lead this year's Academy Award nominations, including best picture and best director.

The nominees were announced Tuesday morning and for the first time, featured 10 best-picture contenders instead of the traditional five.
