MIDDLETON (WKOW) --- King cakes are a Mardi Gras tradition. They are thought to have originated in France during the 12th century. I decided to get in the spirit of Mardi Gras I would stop in to Scott's Pastry Shoppe in Middleton where they make hundreds of these cakes just in time for Fat Tuesday.
Beware though, there is a small plastic baby inside these cakes. If you find it, you are the next one to hold a party.
