Spring Primary Election 2010

MADISON (WKOW) -- Voters headed out to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballots in the spring primary election.

On the ballot: races for local and state appeals court judges as well as a number of school referenda (click here to read Brock Bergey's report on the cuts being proposed in the Brodhead School District)

Most state workers took a mandated furlough day Monday, but the Government Accountability Board remained open to help local clerks prepare for the election.

A GAB spokesman says workers will take a day off in May to make up the furlough day.

Most polls opened at 7:00 a.m. and closed at 8:00 p.m.
