MADISON (WKOW) -- Ten years ago, ".exe" files were the enemy.
Now, it's ".pdf" files, made famous by Adobe Acrobat.
Although these are, of course, legitimate file extensions when coming from someone you trust, many hackers are using PDF files to send viruses.
A new report described in a ZDNet article claims 80 percent of all malicious files now come disguised as PDF attachments.
