HAMPTON, N.H. (WKOW) -- Firefighters in New Hampshire worked through the night to put out a blaze that started in an oceanfront hotel and destroyed nearly an entire block.
The fire erupted late Thursday or early Friday at the unoccupied Surf Hotel in Hampton, a community along the Atlantic coast, about an hour's drive north of Boston.
Fire officials say near-hurricane force winds fanned the flames, pushing them quickly from the wood-frame building to another four buildings on the block.
No injuries have been reported.
