MADISON (WKOW) -- Open a book, save a life.
That's the motto of Madison's Literacy Network during the organization's week-long reading challenge.
It's designed to have readers collect pledges, which go to supporting those who are building literacy skills through the Literacy Network.
The Literacy Network provides free services to those who struggle with reading.
All you do, is sign up, and collect pledges for reading.
The week kicks off this Saturday with an event at Borders Books on University Avenue in Madison, beginning at 2 p.m.
The organization has already collected 21% of their goal as of Friday evening.
