MADISON (WKOW) -- Rep. Tammy Baldwin says job creation is her focus, and House's passage of the Senate's $15 billion dollar jobs bill Thursday is a step in the right direction.
The HIRE act creates a series of tax incentives for job creation, centered on small business. Baldwin says small businesses are at the core of getting unemployed Wisconsinites back to work.
Rep. Tammy Baldwin, (D) Madison, says, "If we really want to see Wisconsinites getting back to work, a lot of emphasis really needs to be placed on small businesses, not just on other aspects of our economy, like government programs or large scale manufacturing."
The bill that passed the House Thursday is different from the version that passed the Senate. The Senate is expected to review the bill again next week.
