NORWALK, Calif. (WKOW) -- His mother made him practice dialing 911 in case of emergencies, and now a 7-year-old California boy has real-life emergency experience.
The boy, known as Carlos, called 911 while armed robbers invaded his home Tuesday and held his parents at gunpoint.
Carlos and his 6-year-old sister hid in a locked bathroom. He called 911, and begged the dispatcher to "bring cops. A lot of them!... And bring soldiers, too."
Carlos gave a hug and delivered a high five to Los Angeles County Sheriff's dispatcher Monique Patino, who called the boy "my little hero."
Police are still looking for the suspects, who left without stealing anything once they realized the boy had called 911.
