HUDSON (WKOW) -- Republican state Rep. Kitty Rhoades announced to her supporters this week she is retiring after serving 12 years in the Wisconsin Assembly.
Rhoades, 58, was first elected in 1998 and when Republicans held the majority in the state Legislature she served as co-chair of the influential Joint Finance Committee.
Rhoades is the seventh Republican and ninth Assembly member overall to announce they will not run for re-election. Two Republicans and one Democrats are also retiring from the state Senate.
