Caring for orphaned wild animals

MADISON (WKOW) --The Four Lakes Wildlife Center held a special baby shower for baby animals it's cared for since they were orphaned or hurt.

They released some animals back to the wild, including owls, ducklings, raptors rabbits, and porcupines.

One of the world's fastest skaters, Olympic Gold Medalist Casey FitzRandolph, was also there to help.

"For me to see a wild animal struggling or in need of help, of course I have sympathy, just like anybody else would.  I am a wildlife and nature freak.  If I'm not at the office or with my family, I want to be out with nature," he said.

The Four Lakes Wildlife Center and Dane County Human Society helped more than 1,500 animals last year.
