NEW GLARUS (WKOW) -- Two area sixth graders are making it their mission to raise money for Haiti relief.
Grace Tollefson and Brandi Long hosted a fundraiser at a New Glarus restaurant Sunday.
They organized local music, raffles, and silent auctions with donations from local businesses.
The girls hope it will make a difference for victims of January's earthquake in Haiti.
"After all the pictures on the news, we decided we had to do something," said Tollefson.
"If we raise $100 or $1,000 every little bit counts," said Long.
One of the items up for auction was a sword worth $800. They also organized a euchre tournament with a $30 buy-in. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross Haiti relief fund.
