EAU CLAIRE (WKOW) -- Western Wisconsin is a great place to see bald eagles, but scientists are discovering it's also a place to find golden eagles.
Coyote hunters found a golden eagle in Eau Claire.
The DNR captured the eagle, tagged it, and set it back into the wild.
Another golden eagle was spotted and tagged last year.
Scientists say that the golden eagle showed the bird spends the winter here and migrates north to Canada for the summer.
