NEW YORK (WKOW) -- Consumer confidence in the economy rose to 52.5 in March after a nearly 11 point loss in February.
The Conference Board's Consumer Confidence Index put out the report Tuesday. Analysts expected a reading of 50 in March.
Despite the good news, Americans are still wary about the job market.
March is a rebound from the 46.4 in February which marked the lowest level since April 2009.
