MADISON (WKOW) --- The Pothole Patrol is now beginning their season cleanup efforts.
Mayor Dave Cieslewicz launched the program two years ago that focuses on repair and long-term investments in our streets.
In 2008 the 50,569 potholes were repaired compared to just 29,435 last year. The city has seen a decrease in the Report A Problem on their website as well. From January to March of 2008, the city received 558 reports and just 188 in the same time in 2009.
With spring clean up comes brush collection. Monday collection will begin and continue through October 15 using the rotation of the leaf collection.
Residents can stay informed about Madison Parks on their website.
