Oshkosh company gets contract extension

OSHKOSH (WKOW) --  An Oshkosh company received four U.S. Army contracts to repair and deliver nearly 200 military vehicles.

The contracts are worth $19 million.

Oshkosh Defense says the awards extend existing military contracts that wrap up in January.

Oshkosh Corp. builds heavy-duty vehicles, like mine-resistant trucks that are designed to handle terrain in battlefields in Afghanistan. When vehicles are damaged, Oshkosh strips them down, upgrades them, and refurbishes them.

Shares of Oshkosh rose 91 cents, or 2 percent, on Thursday. They closed at $41.21.
