FOND DU LAC (WKOW) -- Student input will be required at all University of Wisconsin campuses when it comes to special tuition increases.
The Board of regents voted to approve the policy.
It will require them to seek student input, but will not need student approval.
FOND DU LAC (WKOW) -- The Board of Regents will meet on Friday to consider a policy that spells out the process for approving differential tuition increases for programs and campus initiatives.
The policy would require campuses to seek input from students for special tuition increases.
UW-Madison, UW- Eau Claire, and UW- La Crosse have all been approved over the years to major increases to improve the quality of their campuses. Students have questioned in the past what role they play in the decision.
The policy on debate Friday will allow students to "advise" on plans, but regents have full power to make the final decision.
