Madison tries to win over Google with ice cream

Posted:

MADISON (WKOW) -- First it was a pizza party, now Madison has a sweet idea to land Google's super fast fiber optic Internet.

Google inspired ice cream. People got to sample what's called "Mad Fiber" at the city county building downtown.

It was made at the Babcock Dairy Plant.

M&M's make up the colors of the Google logo and granola is the fiber, inspired by Google's high-speed fiber optic network.

But keeping the granola crunchy is the hard part.

"The secret to keep it crunchy is keeping it at 25 degrees Fahrenheit and eating it fresh," said Babcock Dairy Plant Manager Bill Klien.

Samples will be sent to Google this week.
