HOLLYWOOD (WKOW) -- Flowers line the Hollywood Walk of Fame in memory of Meinhardt Raabe, who portrayed the coroner of Munchkin Land in The Wizard of Oz.

Raabe gained movie immortality for singing "As coroner, I must aver; I thoroughly examined her. And she's not only merely dead, she's really most sincerely dead," in confirming the death of The Wicked Witch of the East, who was crushed by a house blown in by a Kansas tornado in the classic 1939 movie musical.

Raabe died Thursday night, according to Ted Bulthaup, the owner of a Naperville, Ill. movie theater who led the campaign to get the Munchkins a star on the Walk of Fame. He was 94 and the oldest living Munchkin.

Raabe was among the seven Munchkins who attended the unveiling of the Munchkins star on the Walk of Fame in 2007.
