MADISON (WKOW) --- Dane County Emergency Management is once again making weather radios available for purchase.
You can find them at the County office located at 115 West Doty Street, Room 2107 in Madison. They are available at cost which is $25.
The radios also come with batteries and are programmable for specific warnings and specific counties.
"These radios are an important tool to help get early warnings to people when bad weather threatens," County Executive Kathleen Falk said. "These radios help families be prepared, regardless the hour of day or time of the year."
Since the county started the "all hazards" radio initiative in 2007, nearly 18,000 of the radios have been sold.
