WASHINGTON (WKOW)-- A survey of doctors who specialize in heart-care finds that -- like so many other doctors -- they practice defensive medicine -- not only against disease -- but against lawsuits.
A new study by the American Heart Association shows 24 percent of doctors surveyed said they have ordered an invasive heart test because they're worried about getting sued.
Researchers also found doctors in an area where more money was spent on health care tended to treat their patients more aggressively.
