City of Madison Parks Watch information session Monday

MADISON (WKOW) -- The City of Madison is asking for the public's help to protect our community parks.

The grassroots Parks Watch initiative began in 2008 and involves neighbors who joined together to keep an eye on public spaces throughout the city, similar to neighborhood watch programs.

Anyone interested in starting a Parks Watch program in their park can attend one of two training dates, the second being Monday April 19 at 7 p.m. at the Meadowood Community Center on Raymond Road.

You can also contact Laura Whitmore at 608-266-5949 or by email
